Meet Our Directors
Aaron Lane, CEO
CPA, MBA, B.Com (Accounting)
Aaron has fourteen years commercial experience as a CFO in growing companies. After getting a solid grounding in chartered accounting, he decided that he wanted to work in roles which helped build companies directly.
An exciting journey began which saw roles including CFO, Commercial Director, Head of Retail, and Acting CEO roles in various companies in the Retail, Wholesale, Telecommunications and Travel industries. Working for companies in the Australian, New Zealand, UK and US markets has given Aaron a broad view of what drives businesses of all types forward.
Aaron’s driving purpose in providing CFO services is focussing owners and CEO’s on their business models, helping them get clear around what action is needed, and combining this with providing strategic financial support to make the action successful.
Away from work, Aaron plays drums and is a keen runner. Two young boys and a lovely wife occupy evenings and weekends, and they enjoy the beach as much as possible. Following many sports, he is a self-avowed Liverpool FC tragic, and proud of it.
Kyle Jenkins, CFO
Chartered Accountant, Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Registered Tax Agent, Registered ASIC Agent and Xero Certified Advisor
Raised in a family business, small business management and financials have been in Kyle’s blood from an early age. With over a decade of experience as a Chartered Accountant, Kyle has extensive experience working with mid-tier and big-4 firms specialising in audit and assurance services. After gaining his corporate experience, Kyle moved into CFO roles with SME businesses, finding his distinct knack for identifying the financials that make a business tick. With a passionate drive for people and improvement, Kyle’s vision is to enable his business partners to excel in their strengths and not get held back by the financial side of their business.
When not at work, he dedicates his free time to his wife and two young daughters. Often found exploring Sydney, listening to music, watching Rugby League and getting away for family weekends. He is an avid motor racing fan and enjoy’s his annual trip to Melbourne for the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Des Hammond, Non-Executive Director
Fellow Chartered Accountant, Bachelor’s Degree of Accounting and Finance
Des is a commercially focused financial business leader with over twenty years of international experience in leading successful teams. He specialises in organisational change management, expanding business capability particularly through acquisitions and efficient use of technology, developing strategy and optimising business processes.’
He is currently CFO for the A&NZ operations of Rohlig, a global logistics company. He started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers and more recently has held senior financial positions with William Hill Australia and the University of New South Wales. .
He is passionate about developing and executing comprehensive strategic plans to help companies realise the possibilities in their markets, whilst leading teams to achieve organisational and personal goals. He approaches all business opportunities with a big picture perspective, identifying ways to drive growth while ensuring financial strength and risk mitigation.
Keith Lane, Non-Executive Director
Keith began his career during the development and growth period of supermarkets, and was promoted through the management ranks in a variety of organisations until being appointed as Chief Executive of a private company in 1998. After rescuing the company from the brink of receivership, Keith drove the company revenue from $10M to $350Mp.a. (Achieving 150th in the BRW Top 500 Private Company List in 2009)
Keith has expertise in entrepreneurship, with a track record and focus on delivery. Creating entrepreneurial management teams who are always positioned to embrace opportunity, and delivering business potential. This realisation of potential in businesses comes through a focus on unleashing the best leadership qualities in managers by identifying and developing a clear understanding of attributes of a true leader. Understanding how to develop a healthy workplace culture, using a focus on shared values, allowing the growth and empowerment of individuals and teams, thus creating strong motivation, without which people and companies cannot realise their potential.
He has a reductionist approach in analysing businesses has also enabled Keith to clearly identify the essence and core of a business, minimise complexity wherever possible, in order to identify and prioritise the immediate biggest impacts achievable. He has delivered on numerous M&A’s and business-critical negotiations that have led to successful outcomes with the added experience of successful integration of merged / acquired entities through his leadership philosophy, thereby building truly sustainable value in businesses.
Keith views his unceasing passion for business and unflappable approach to challenges as crucial in his management style.
